Hello my dears,

As we all grow older, we tend to try to take care of our health and skincare better. For me, once i hit 30, it really hit me that i needed to take very good care of my skin and my health. Which is also a reason why i have created this blog so that I can record my skin care journey and also to share with other people as well.

For the past 3 days i have been religiously working on my sheet masks routines. Whenever i go for facials, the therapist would always ask me when did i do my last mask and i am always too embarrass to say “er.. last month?” I have extreme hydrated skin in a way the skin gets dark and loses its glow and whenever i do facials my skin feels like it is so thirsty trying to absorb all the water. I am trying to save myself now by starting slow…. I had 3 sheet masks in front of me from INNISFREE, i could say those are my very IN mask now. I purchased them when innisfreeworld had a buy 10 get 10 free discount.

I had 20 sheets mask to choose from but i decided to go for these 3 first as i normally really love rice mask as it brightens the skin and the honey and shea butter ones seems very hydrating and would smell really good.

I started using the rice mask first and this was what was written behind the mask, “rice extract to keep the skin purified and healthy” hmmm.. wow.

Ingredients include some of the ones below:

  • Water
  • Glycerin
  • Butylene Glycol
  • Cetyl Ethylhexanoate
  • Japonica leaf extract
  • Sodium hyaluronate

The fragrance was very slight and a little bit of flowery scent to the mask. it was pretty much soaking with the moisture when it was pulled out.

The mask is also relatively thick with lots of good substance. Left the mask on for about 10 mins and after removing could feel my face brighten and much clearer. It even became a bit whiter as well.

The next day i went on to try the manuka honey mask. the scent was a bit stronger than rice mask. The mask is suppose to moisturize dry, stiffened skin. -> MINE!

Ingredients include:

  • Water
  • Glycerin
  • Butylene Glycol
  • Alcohol
  • Betaine
  • Orchid Extract
  • Fragrance

I left this mask also for about 10mins, the most distinct difference i felt with the 2 masks was the texture. i am not sure why but the honey mask was alot thinner then the rice mask. the solution inside the mask had a high viscosity as compared to the rice mask.

As you can see the mask difference is quite obvious, the left one is the honey mask and the right one is the rice mask.

After using the honey mask for about 10mins and removing it I felt moisturized but the effects were not very distinct. My face felt like it was hydrated for once but after applying lifting the mask up and leaving my face for another 10mins before carrying on with my routine, my face was already dried (Face too thirsty). It would be very good as a everyday mask for hydration purposes.

The last mask i tried in my 3 day trial is the shea butter mask which is suppose to deliver incredible moisturizing capacity of shea butter to deliver moisture deep inside the dry, tight skin (WOW! that is something i absolutely needed).

innisfree-sheet-mask_shea-butter

Ingredients include some of the below:

  • Water
  • Glycerin
  • Butylene Glycol
  • Citrus unshiu peel extract

This mask worked wonders for me, the texture was the same as the rice mask a bit thicker and the smell was very distinct. Smell alot like the shea butter used to apply the skin.

I soaked the mask on my face for a good 10mins and when i removed it there was still alot of liquid on the face and it felt very good! Extremely hydrated. My face was still feeling very damp after a long while. it might be a bit too oily if you have oily based skin but mine was so dehydrated it literally just drank from it.

In conclusion, i really love the 3 masks from Innisfree and i will be trying more 3-day trial of sheetmask and hope that my skin will get better and better.

Rice mask: ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Manuka honey: ❤️❤️❤️

Shea Butter: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I cant wait to get my hands on more masks and try them as well. Till then.. Cya soon!

Love and xoxo,

TingTing

Hi Hi dears,

Today, I will be reviewing about the BB Cushions. I have been a little over my head about BB cushions recently due to the Korean craze and because they decided they should work together to make us go even crazier. collaborations like: Laneige and playnomore were not enough, 😁 they had to go with Missha and Line Friends, then Rilakkuma and A’Pieu, 😀 followed by Gudetama and Holika Holika then Minions with Missha. I heard the latest that is going to hit Korea is Tony Moly with Pokemon. 😵

Honestly, I have tonnes of BB cushions at home, which is also the reason why I started this blog, so i could compare the tonnes of BB cushions and the great amount of skincare out there. I told myself I couldnt be talking to myself while comparing this, I might as well write it down and share my opinions.

Having said that, I should move to my very first BB cushion to be done on my blog (previously i have already finished up Missha n Line friends – Sally and Brown BB Cushion). This BB Cushion is by W.Lab known as the Blossom White cushion.

Ingredients include:

The cushion looks very pretty with flowers on the surface. Colors are very pastel and the design is very vintage. The name of the company is very obvious as the background of the Bb cushion is off white.

wlab-blossom-white-cushion

This is how it looks like from the inside. When I opened it, the color of the sponge is still white which means it was not yet soaked into the cushion yet. The sponge is the normal silicone-like sponge.

I tried blending it on my hands before my face and it did look very nicely blended out and could really blend into my skin as well.

w-lab3

However, when I applied it looked a tat too white for my face although it is a shade #23. I tried to wait for a bit after application and as soon as the oxidation starts taking place, it is not as white as before and i do get a glowy skin. i still get comments that my face is getting fairer (i do hope that is means well – lots of skincare has been done to try to make my skin whiter). I try to blend some onto my neck so i dont look so weird with white face and tan neck.

Coverage is not too bad too, the left is before (Sorry a bit blur) with dark spots and vein lines but the right is glowy finish with covered up dark spots and vein lines.

w-lab7

It could last me until about 3plus in the afternoon without touch up. but it could also be my face needed touch up once in a while.

Overall it is a pretty good product but i am a bit concern on my face turning too white but i can really blame them as it is a “White” cushion but I probably will not repurchase it as there are others that are quite good as well and not so fair. Having said that, i would really love to try their honey beam cushion as i have heard some good reviews about it and it is very moisturizing. I am currently still deciding which bb cushion to use next but i am definitely finishing up the W.Lab white blossom cushion first.

Design: ❤️❤️❤️❤️ – super pretty design

Durability: ❤️❤️❤️

Functionality: ❤️❤️❤️ – a bit too white but quite good moisture level

Price: ❤️❤️❤️❤️ – Affordable

Overall: ❤️❤️❤️/5 hearts

Thank you all for reading!

Love and xoxo,

Ting Ting

Kose – Clear Whitening Mask

Hello dears,

Good to be back after being crazily busy for the past week. This week I am trying the Kose Clear Whitening Mask which (to me) is first time. So i had to use this mask a couple of times before I was able to write the blog up.

Kose Whitening Mask

From the word “Whitening” we would think that the mask is super to be white, but in actual fact, the mask is black and it is a gel like mask that requires an application to the face. The gel is filled with nano-sized black powder that readily disperses across the surface of the skin. The formula spreads as if being absorbed into the skin, giving it a comfortable firmness and a healthy appearance.

There is a slight scent to it that is suppose to bring relief to tired minds, awakening translucency from within. It really smelled quite good.

These are the ingredients that are in the gel – to – mask formulation:

  • Melothria extract [Hydration]
  • Coix seed extract [Hydration]
  • Red oolong tea extract [Tighten pores]
  • Vitamin C derivative [Whitening]
  • Angelica extract [Whitening]
  • Chinese quince extract [Sebum control]
  • Sugar derivative [Hydration]

I was pretty much a noob using this mask as I have always used the normal sheet mask. The first time I applied, I was conservative about the amount of gel i was getting, it therefore became too thin and when i peeled it off it was so painful and the pain lasted for quite a while and there was not much effect as well. Please do avoid the eyebrow areas as well because you might be pulling away bits of your hair unknowingly. OUCH!

Tried it again a couple of days later, generously this time. The mask was placed on the face about 20mins at a time or when the whole mask starts to dry and harden. I use about 2cm bit at a time and applied it over the face. This time it was not as painful when i removed it but due to the fact that I still have not mastered the art of pulling out the mask, it crumpled the moment I removed it and I couldnt see the effect. My face felt very smooth and very glowy.

Never give up and Practice! A week later, after the 3rd application of the mask, it become a very routine thing and then I could see the white heads being pulled out of the mask and my face was instantly very clean and glowing. Even looked whiter. Looking at the mask, i could see the debris from my skin. Very effective! I LIKE!

Kose Whitening Mask_After

I cant wait to try other masks and put my reviews up for sharing purposes. In the meantime, please do take care!

Love, xoxo,

TingTing
