As 2016 is coming to an end, I would like to do one last post for 2016. For the last week, I was down with flu, fever, sore throat and cough, which was a horrible because there were so many delicious food to eat but I couldnt touch them.
To do a recap for 2016:
- This year I joined the AB community and hopefully i can learn something and further contribute as well. Everyone is so friendly and they all contributed alot to my further knowledge on beauty and skincare
- Started writing my blog as well to keep track of the products that I am using and hopefully to help some readers review on the products they have been debating to get.
Today’s review is on the Faceshop’s CC intense cover cushion. I am literally “poisoned” by the cute packaging from Korean cosmetic brands. Slowly but surely I will be revealing my collection from the Korea beauty products as well as other makeup and skin care products.
“Moisture lasting CC cream for a vibrant, lively complexion” it is able to “reduce wrinkles, brightens and protects against UV rays”
“Full coverage formula with ultra-natural finish
Bright finish for vibrant complexion – formulated with Rose oil and Lavender Oil, this cushion makeup with intense coverage gives your skin a vibrant appearance.
Special Treatment with Hyaluronic Acid for moisturizing, elasticity-enhancing and volume adding effects.”
“Press the puff applicator to the cushion and lightly pat onto the face. Apply over areas of concern for more coverage. Replace the cushion with refill once the formula is depleted.”
I have chosen to use V203 the Natural Beige colour. The cover is a bright yellow color and the character Muzi is also applying the CC cushion on to her face. The cushion also comes with a refill only but there was no puff that came along with the actual casing.
The puff itself has little characters on the top and the puff is a silicon grade kind that is soft to touch. As usual, there is cover on top of the cushion that holds the puff and when we opened it there is a seal on top of the cushion (if the seal is broken, please do return it). This cushion, unlike the w.lab ones, you can see the cushion is soaked through with the formula.
Patting on the cushion with the puff, takes up a bit of the formula and it is pretty easy to apply. Applying on the left hand, you can see that at first it doesn’t seem to fit but as i blended the color, it fit very nicely in and even made my skin look brighter than usual.
Although it blended quite well on my hand, when i applied on to my face I did have one major concern with the application of this CC intense cover cushion. I have some major veins on my face that can be seen quite clearly and I would always use a few layers of CC or BB cushions to cover it up but for this i found myself layering up to 3 if not 4 layers and over the course of the day become flaky. Thinking that it was an intense cover should be able to do the job. I was slightly disappointed with the coverage for this product. The product is quite long lasting and it does do its job of brightening up the skin.
Design: – super cute
Easy to use:
Functionality: – did not quite do the “intense cover” job
Price: – Affordable
Overall: /5 hearts
Thank you all for reading!
Love and xoxo,
