When someone thinks of Capella hotel, they would think of it as a 6 star hotel with expensive and maybe not as good food. Climbing up the staircase to this very posh looking restaurant had me feeling like it was going to be a very expensive meal.
The food was something different. They have dim sum but in a very different style. Their BBQ buns were not made of your regular pork, it was Kurobuta pork with truffle. The truffle was not overpowering and the pork was so soft.
The porridge was fabulous. Fish sliced porridge with corn. And you would think just corn. Nope. It had Gingko nuts and fish maw too. It totally enhanced the taste of the common fish porridge.
Even a simple stir fried vegetable tasted so good.
We had the boiled pear for dessert, boiled to perfection but slightly on the sweet side.
We had an overall very fabulous lunch experience at the Chinese restaurant in Capella Hotel and it was less than S$100.00!!
Do try it out 🙂
